The name of this recipe describes it exactly.  "Do Over Clam Chowder".  Yes, I made  store bought chowder from a can over in my own way and it worked!  No, it is not delicious restaurant perfection or made from scratch.  But it is very good.   That is all that matters.  If you like clam chowder, I believe that you will enjoy this recipe.  Made with less work and less time.

RECIPE:

Ingredients:

Progresso traditional clam chowder - (white)
Dice celery - saute until tender
Dice onion - saute until tender
Potatoes diced - cook until tender
Dried parsley or fresh
Garlic (fresh or powder)
Chicken bullion - one cube
Butter - to taste
Black pepper - to taste
One can of minced clams 
Bacon bits - Optional 
Add additional water (carefully - to taste)
Flour or corn starch slurry for thickening

Directions:

In a pot - combine seasonings, clams and cooked veggies to purchased clam chowder soup and heat.
Add slurry to perfect thickening.
